MY MA
Girls are sure to end up on a variety of Best Albums of 2011 lists later this month, but they’re busy taking a victory lap for their second album, Father, Son, Holy Ghost. Here they are rocking the hell out of a church, performing three cuts from the album. The highlight here, just like on record, is “Honey Bunny,” a song with Elvis Costello-like choruses and brainworm hooks. They also perform “My Ma” and “Vomit.” Watch them below.

One of the best records of the year sounds even better in an empty church with background singers. 3 more songs at p4k

‘i need your love, come into my heart’
“So many people wait around for love to be found for them, for somebody to say, “I love you.” But sometimes it’s just as much fun to love somebody that doesn’t even think about you or talk to you: She doesn’t have to love you back, you can just think she’s neat, and that’s fine.”
